A floodlight is a point source that can be uniformly illuminated in all directions. Its illumination range can be adjusted arbitrarily and appears as a regular octahedral icon in the scene. Floodlights are one of the most widely used sources in renderings, and standard floodlights are used to illuminate the entire scene. Multiple floodlights can be applied to the scene. In order to produce a better effect, the shooting light bulb is loaded into a large reflecting umbrella for use as a high-intensity diffusing light source. Although it is indispensable for lighting in the shed, it can be regarded as one of the light sources with good illumination for general amateur indoor photography.

Floodlights are not spotlights, projection lights, spotlights. Floodlights produce highly diffuse, non-directional light rather than sharply defined beams, resulting in soft, transparent shadows that are used to illuminate objects much slower than when illuminated with spotlights. Even some floodlights with very slow illumination tend to look like a light source that does not produce shadows. The spotlight projects a directed, well-defined beam that illuminates a particular area.
